If there was a small hole for the hand, and it was covered by a curtain, and she wore gloves, that would be the most private way to actually do handshakes. And on the other sides could easily be vtuber face cam. Only issue then would be the possibility of malicious fans, but of course there would be staff overseeing it and maybe a button for suisei to press in case

I mean is there a need to do so? I get the feeling or having to meet your idol. This feeling regardless of writter, musician or youtuber is the same. People want closure, but…these idols are virtual. Is that not one of the pros for a virtual vtuber? Safety for any physical interaction? Also we get concerts or events where we can meet them, they as virtual and us in physical venue. Is that not enough? Also we get asmr, and special voice lines. We also get games collabs where they appear. I understand that fans like ourselves want as much closure as possible and once again this is regardless of Japan. What about famous singers like Michael Jackson and Elvis Presley? Have you seen recordings of how much their fans were crazy for them? Everyone wants closure, but I think handshakes can come with a lot of issues. Also how many handshakes a day each idol will do? They are no means a little famous, how many Japanese and overseas fan will come? How and handshakes and a greeting? And maybe a sign? Per person? 100? 1000? 10,000? That sure is a lot of money! Also is it reservations? Or the highest bidder? Or too expensive to reduce the number of people? Or just first serve-stay in line basis? And if they do they gotta have restrictions and rules of this event. Also…..since they need to keep their person anonymous, how will you know its them? For all you know it could be a random person? It could be a random old man. It could even be a robot. So the point been, is there a need? I mean if they do it, there will be so much money for them. But for the fan, do we need closure? Do not they do super chat reading? Is that not our handshake event?

Not gonna lie but a hand shake event for vtubers sounds like a dangerous idea to happen. Especially in celebrity cultures past where there have been a lot of cases where people pretend to be fans do something dangerous.

better keep everything virtual as the name implies Vtuber (virtual) but if the fans, management and the talents comes to an agreement, they could do a full casting on the hand of the talent that would give a true to life 1:1 ratio/copy . then they could hold a "not handshake event" but a "touch your oshi's 1:1 hand model" 😂 i know it sounds crazy/creepy but well at least its a compromise. its just an idea but who knows 😂 ✌️ . don't take it seriously guys 😂

Well. Leaving aside the question whether they should at all, they could have her react to the person by having some her vtuber model react to the person she's shaking hands with. Not perfect, might require too much setup and break immersion regardless but possible.

Someone - anyone - doing a hidden handshake event should troll their fans by having like 10 distinctly different hands on rotation, ranging from a dainty little woman hand to a swollen fat guy hand to like a huge 7' tall body builder hand. When fans compare notes, nothing would make sense.

knowing japan stupid idol culture, i hope there won't be any physical interaction event like handshake for hololive, for the safety of the girl and more healthy fandom as a whole as we already have major example of parasocial disaster in hololive and vtuber as a whole and even more from idol world.
